We provide several convenient options for you to pay your bill:

  • In person or at the County Administration Office by Cash, Cheque, Money Order, or Debit
  • Via mail by Cheque or Money Order, (please do not send cash through the mail) To ensure payment is applied to the proper account please reference the tax roll or owner number for tax payments** or customer/invoice number for all other payments
  • Online or telephone banking at most registered banks or Credit Unions across Canada.  Specific instructions appear below:

*When searching for County of Newell as a payee for online banking note that we may be listed as: County of Newell or Newell County
**If paying taxes for more than one tax roll number, please reference the owner number on your payment.

 Paying your Property Taxes Online

  • Look for us under the Bill Payment Section as “Newell, County of”
  • Select the Payee “Newell, County of – Taxes”
  • Create the account using your Property Taxes Roll Number as your account number

Your account number will be exactly 10 digits in length

***If you currently remit payments to the County of Newell for your Property Taxes and the account number you are using does not match the format indicated – you must create new a bill payment account. Failure to do so may result in your payment being incorrectly processed or rejected in the future.***

Paying Receivables Invoices Online

  • Look for us under the Bill Payment Section as “Newell, County of”
  • Select the Payee “Newell, County of – Receivables”
  • Create the account using your Receivables Customer ID as your account number

PayingReceivables

Your Customer ID (account number) will be exactly 7 characters in length – alphanumeric or numeric (Numbered companies only) and the last 3 characters will be numbers
