COVID-19
As of December 8, 2020, the following mandatory restrictions are in place for the entire province of Alberta
- Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces and workplaces
- All indoor and outdoor social gatherings – public and private – are prohibited
- All out-of-town travel is discouraged at this time
- Wedding and funeral services – maximum of 10 people (no receptions)
Further mandatory restrictions come into effect as of 12:01 am on December 13, 2020:
- Working from home unless a physical presence is required
- Some businesses will be required to close, reduce capacity, or limit in-person access

- Effective December 13, 2020 at 12:01 am local time, all municipally owned recreation facilities will be CLOSED in the Newell Region meaning the County of Newell (excluding the City of Brooks),the Town of Bassano, the Village of Duchess, and the Village of Rosemary. Any recreation facilities in the Newell Region not owned by a municipality are strongly encouraged to close but may remain open if permitted by Government of Alberta(e.g. outdoor rinks).
