Water Meter Project - In Progress

In 2012 the County obtained the services of Metercor Inc. to perform the installation of water meters throughout County hamlets.  To date, there are 68 locations outstanding to receive meter.  The County of Newell will be sending letters to those 68 property owners who have not yet arranged for a meter to be installed.  These residents will be directed to contact a local plumbing contractor to arrange the installation of their meter.  More information can be obtained by contacting Geoff Tiffin, Manager of Engineering Services with the County of Newell.

For new service connections or service disconnection/abandonment please contact NRSC (Click here for the NRSC website), and refer to the schedule of fees bylaw (Click here for the schedule of fees bylaw) for costs associated with such service.

Tilley Infrastructure Improvements - In Progress

Brooks Asphalt and Aggregate completed the installation of deep sanitary and water services throughout town in the fall of 2015.  The new lift station, located at the campground, has been commissioned and has facilitated the decommissioning of the two lift stations that were previously in operation.  Brooks Asphalt will return to Tilley in the spring once the frost has come out of the roads to complete curb and gutter and road works.  Residents are asked to be patient and work together with the County and Brooks Asphalt to see this project completed in early summer of 2016.
