Every year, the County of Newell along with Multisar, Alberta Sustainable Resource Development, Cows and Fish and other southern Alberta Municipalities, takes part in organizing the Southern Alberta Grazing School for Women. The grazing school is a two day educational event that is held in a new location every year. The goal of the school is to pass on grazing management principles and practices and to help ranching women network with fellow ranching women. Topics featured generally include but are not limited to: grazing management, pasture health assessments, riparian health, and plant ID.
