Divisions having elections: 4 & 8. Please read carefully as voting locations are specific to where you live.

Division 5 is not having an election; however, some current Division 5 residents will now be in Division 4 where there is an election. These residents will need to vote at Cassils Hall.

Division 6 is not having an election; however, some current Division 6 residents will now be in Division 4 which is having an election. These residents will need to vote at Cassils Hall.

Division 7 is not having an election; however, some current Division 7 residents will now be in D4 where there is an election. These residents will need to vote at Cassils Hall. There is no election in D9.

Division 8 is having an election; however, some residents will now be in Division 9 where there is no election, therefore do not need to vote.

Current Division 4 residents in Rainier and Scandia (south of TWP 170), boundaries have not changed and will need to vote at Rainier Community Centre.

2025 Electoral Divisions (All Maps)

To review the County map as a whole (both current and new as of Election Day), follow these instructions:

1. Go to the County of Newell Map Room > https://countyofnewell.ab.ca/map-room
2.  Agree to the Terms & Conditions and click OK.
3.  Select Electoral Divisions (Starting Oct 2025) from right-hand layer list menu.
4.  Zoom into where your address is to determine your Division.

You can register to vote at any time. There are several benefits to registering ahead of an election. Registered voters will receive important updates from Elections Alberta after a provincial or by-election is called, including personalized mailed voter information cards that tell you where, when, and how to vote in upcoming provincial elections. Registering in advance also makes the voting process faster and easier, because you won’t have to register at the voting location.

• If your registration is up-to-date, you’re ready to vote!
• If your registration is out-of-date, or (for example, if you have recently moved or changed your name since you previously registered), you will need to re-register.
• If you have not registered before, you can register now.

Future voters (who are 16 or 17 years of age) may register in advance and will be added to the permanent Register of Electors automatically when they turn 18.
