Before submitting a request
Many records are already publicly available and can be accessed without submitting a formal access request. Before filing a request under the Access to Information Act (ATIA), we encourage you to review information that is routinely published by the County of Newell, including:
Council Meeting minutes and agendas
Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) meeting minutes and agendas
Annual audited financial statements
Approved budgets and financial reports
County bylaws and policies
Reports, plans, and other public documents available on our website
Other County of Newell records can be accessed without a formal ATIA Request and residents are encouraged to contact the relevant department directly. Note: Fees may apply under our Schedule of Fees bylaw.
