 CDC South - Hay Tender - Lendrum & McLeod

The County of Newell invites the public to submit tender to hay dryland areas of the following properties:

• Approximately 68.5 acres more or less, broken up into smaller sections within the southeast and southwest portion of 27-018-14-W4 as well as 23-018-14-W4 (see attached maps).

 Additional dryland areas will be assessed and added once we see what is available for hay.

Permit holders will be responsible for signing and abiding by the hay permit, found here > County of Newell Hay Permit 

Tenders should:

  • clearly indicate the 'per ton standing' amount that will be paid (GST will be added at time of invoicing).
  • be emailed to woodsc@newellmail.ca
  • or submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly labelled, either delivered or mailed, to the County of Newell – 183037 Range Rd. 145, T1R 1B2, P.O. Box 130.

Deadline to submit is 4:30 pm on April 30, 2026.

Payment will be calculated after harvest.

McLeod_Irrigated_Land_(1)

 CDC South - McLeod Irrigated Farm Tender

The County of Newell invites the public to submit tender to farm the land of the following property:

 Approximately 37 acres of NW23-18-14-W4M (see attached map) under lateral irrigation.

Permit holders will be responsible for signing and abiding by the County of Newell guidelines and signing a User Agreement for the growing season of 2026. Tender is for a one-year lease with opportunity for extension if land is unused for research priorities in subsequent years.

Tenders should:

  • clearly indicate the amount per acre that will be paid (GST will be added at time of invoicing).
  • be emailed to woodsc@newellmail.ca
  • or submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly labelled, either delivered or mailed, to the County of Newell – 183037 Range Rd. 145, T1R 1B2, P.O. Box 130.

Ponderosa_2026_Tender_Acres

 CDC South - Ponderosa Farm Tender

The County of Newell invites the public to submit bids to farm the land of the following property:

 Approximately 113 acres, broken up into smaller sections of NE28-17-14-W4M and SE28-17-14-W4M (see attached map).

    o 20 acres total with access to irrigation for cropping.

    o 93 acres of dryland, prairie grass in fenced area ideal for grazing.

Permit holders will be responsible for abiding by the County of Newell guidelines and signing a User Agreement for the growing season of 2026. Tender is for a one-year lease with opportunity for extension if land is unused for research priorities in subsequent years.
